John was one of Ralph's sons and a brother to Isaac. He married first to Sally Miller. They had three children; Mary Jane who married Isaac Addington and stayed in Indiana, Jordan who married Sarah Shockley and also stayed in Indiana, and William who went with the family to Iowa.
